Kalahari Dancer foaled after Duke of Marmalade

KALAHARI DANCER (Dalakhani-Bella Ballerina) foaled her second foal just before 0:00 at Schlossgut Itlingen; this time a colt by the Champion older Horse and five times Gr.1 winner DUKE OF MARMALADE. This is already the 6th colt from 8 foals in 2011 for Graf and Grafin Stauffenberg, who are delighted with the outcome so far.

KALAHARI DANCER is an unraced daughter of the Prix de l´Arc de Triomphe victor DALAKHANI. She was purchased from Meon Valley Stud at the Tattersalls December Sales 2009 and traces back to the "blue hen" REPROCOLOR, who is her 3rd dam. KALAHARI DANCER is sister to the Stakes placed DESIGN PERFECTION and BALLET BALLON, the dam of HAVANE SMOKER, who was one of the best 2yo´s in France in 2010 and is entered in the Poulains and Derby this year. The first foal for the young mare KALAHARI DANCER is KIA ORA, a now yearling filly by HALLING and she is booked to NAYEF in 2011. NAYEF is from the MR PROSPECTOR sire line as the sire of HAVANE SMOKER and also the sire of the best horse bred by Graf and Grafin Stauffenberg so far - the Gr.1 winner and Champion filly LADY MARIAN.
