01/04/13 LUCKY SPEED prevails in the best Maiden in Germany so far

LUCKY SPEED (Silvano-Lysuna) won at his debut at Cologne in a Maiden, which saw some very talented 3yos. Trained by Peter Schiergen on behalf of Stall Hornoldendorf, LUCKY SPEED was purchased by the IVA out of the consignment of STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the BBAG Yearling Sales. The colt is bred by Gestut Hof Ittlingen and is the second starter and second winner from the 2011 consignment of STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK, trained by Peter Schiergen. The other is GOLD AND WHITE, a filly running in the colours of Team Valor, owners of ANIMAL KINGDOM, who dominated the Dubai World Cup on Saturday night.
