30/08 fantastic results for STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the BBAG Yearling Sale
yearlings have been sold to England, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan and USA
The BBAG Yearling Sale at Baden-Baden is always the highlight of the german sales calendar. The german runners abroad - in 2013 especially
NOVELLIST - promoted the german bred thoroughbred and the ones available for sale at the BBAG extremely well. As
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK had sold this years Derby winner
LUCKY SPEED at the BBAG Yearling Sale, that was the right promotion for this years consignment as well. However, the quality of the horses on offer is essential, the yearlings have to show up in prime condition and last, but not least, there have to be buyers willing to spend the right sort of money.
For
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK all these factors came right together and resulted in their best BBAG sale ever. 12 yearlings mainly from Germany, but France, Ireland and the UK were presented by quite an international team - Heike Senftleben (GER), Patrick Firth (GB), David Ryan (IRE), Michael Grange (GB), Kathrin Guenther (IRE/GER), Lena Douglas (IRE), Justin Cassidy (IRE), Zuzanna Lupa (F/POL) and Alexandra, Marion and Philipp.
The first yearling into the ring was
Lot 29 FIREWORK and sold to Narvick International on behalf of Katsumi Yoshida/Japan.
Lot 34 FRIEDRICHSPALAST was bought by Pierre Boulard Bloodstock on behalf of Willie Mullins/Ireland whereas
Lot 40 LYNX stays in germany, having been sold to Stall Nizza. The same applies for
Lot 55 NESSAYA and
Lot 99 NN (Bright Snow) which have been bought by HFBT Racing Agency on behalf of Stall Salzburg and Dr. Oschmann respectively.
Lot 124 MOABIT was sold to France, being bought by Ecurie Tschopp.
Lot 128 NN (Nurama) and
Lot 131 PENNYKING were not sold in the sales ring, as they failed to reach the prizes, their owners were hoping to achieve.
Lot 166 NN (Damoiselle) went to LiLi Corporation, a leading owner in Poland.
Lot 179 FLAMME FANTASTIQUE was bought by one of the leading owners worldwide, when Angus Gold bought her on behalf of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum.
Lot 192 LA BOHEME went to USA, after being bought by Fred Seitz jr on behalf of a syndicate around his Brookdale Farm. Last lot in the ring for
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK was
Lot 228 AUGUSTA, which was bought by Stall Lucky Owners and will stay in Germany.
