10/10/14 smashing results for Tattersalls October Book I
headlines for Stauffenberg Bloodstock as well
New records were reached at this years Tattersalls October Yearling Sales Book I and this sale once again verified why it is widely regarded as the world's leading yearling sale - even better than the Keeneland September Sale Book I.
Finally there came 414 of the finest yearlings from the 2013 crop into the ring and
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK was consigning at this sale for the first time and was represented with three. Two of them were purchased by
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK as foals last year for a pinhooking syndicate and everybody of the team was looking forward how that will have worked out. First in the ring came with
Lot 185 a lovely filly by
POUR MOI out of
AWAIT, which was purchased for GNS140.000 as a foal and now made GNS250.000 to a winning bid of Betrand le Metayer, who purchased her on behalf of Al Shahania Stud.
Next was
Lot 250 a colt by
CHAMPS ELYSEES out of
DAHAMA. He was purchased for GNS160.000 by
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the Tattersalls December Foal Sales as well and now sold to John Warren on behalf of Al Shaqab Racing for GNS320.000.
Both yearlings became the highest prized for their respective stallions.
Third and last horse from the consignment was
Lot 441 a colt by
DUBAWI out of
PEARLY SHELLS. Due to health issues the colt did not reach his reserve of GNS300.000 and remains the property of his breeder the Haras de Saint Pair. However there are negotiations going on for that good looking colt.
However it was a pleasant experience with this new venture for the whole team of
STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK and the pinhooking paid of for the investors involved
