The 3yo colt MAXIMIAN (Shamardal-Via Milano) won his Maiden on his second start at Doncaster. Just narrowly beaten by the subsequent Gr.3 placed DREAM DUABAI at his debut, the Haras de Saint Pair bred colt prevailed under Martin Lane for Godolphin and trainer Charlie Appleby. MAXIMIAN was prepped at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN and sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK in 2014 at the Tattersalls October Sales Book II for GNS370.000 to John Ferguson, which was the highest prize at this sale since 2008.
